DRESS CODE Wherever possible swimmers should wear costumes best suited to teaching and swimming pool conditions. Below are a few examples from the catalogues of Mailsports and the Swim Shop.

Girls costumes should be one piece with a halter neck. Costumes should be close fitting but comfortable. Loose fitting costumes are not advisable as they increase the drag for the swimmer and make swimming much more difficult. Bikini costumes are not acceptable. Children with long hair should wear a swim hat. Boys costumes can be shorts or briefs, should also be close fitting but comfortable. Bermuda shorts are not advisable as they also increase the drag for the swimmer.
