LEARN TO SWIM ALL AGE GROUPS

Our swimming lessons focus on teaching skill development for beginners and improvers through to competent swimmers. Our average class size is 5 and the maximum is 8, for the very young swimmers our Teacher/Pupil ratio is 1 to 3. We teach the children all four strokes as soon as they can swim. Our priority is to make the children safe in deep water as soon as possible and improve stroke technique throughout the course. The children are tested each term and ASA awards are given at the end of each term.
DIVING

The ASA has undertaken an extensive review of all its diving award test conditions and introduced a new scheme of awards. The new-look awards follow on from a review and update of the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. They had considerable input from Great Britain’s leading diving teachers and coaches as well as diving clubs across the country. Under the new structure, grades have been replaced by levels and the original starting points – preliminary, Grade 1 and Grade 2 have been replaced by Stages 8, 9 & 10 of the NPTS, which fall into line with Flip n Fun - the grass roots introduction to the sport’s FUNdamentals.
PERSONAL SURVIVAL

This is a series of grades teaching children basic lifesaving skills. The program is divided into 4 areas, water safety, rescue, self rescue and emergency response. These aim to teach lifesaving skills, increase swimming competence, develop survival skills in water, develop confidence, initiative and judgment, develop teamwork and leadership. They are also designed to be fun and interesting for children.
